STORIES OF HOPE FROM INDONESIA

The story of FEBC Indonesia’s radio network, known as “Heartline Radio”, is a powerful testament to God’s faithfulness and a profound inspiration to all those in our ministry. Just a few years ago, FEBC Indonesia owned and operated seven radio stations across the nation. With countless island communities and ethnic languages, outreach was a true challenge. Yet, they remained steadfast, trusting that God would work through their broadcasts to touch lives around the nation.

In His perfect timing, God opened opportunities in miraculous ways. Suddenly, many small, privately-owned radio stations witnessed the impact of “Heartline Radio” and reached out to partner with FEBC Indonesia to share the message of Jesus Christ. Today, “Heartline Radio” is not only being broadcast through FEBC Indonesia’s own stations, but also across 105 partner stations nationwide –  totalling 210 broadcast hours of Gospel-centred programming every single day!

The impact of these partner stations were immediate as hundreds of testimonies began pouring in each month from listeners whose lives have been transformed by God’s Word.

Currently, “Heartline Radio” listeners can hear the Gospel broadcasts in the following languages: Bahasa/Indonesian, Javanese, Sundanese, Minangnese, Buginese, Makasserese, and Sasaknese. The FEBC team also distributes thousands of radios each year to people who are unable to purchase their own.

We pray that these powerful testimonies fill your heart with hope, and that you will be encouraged by the evidence of His work, reaching and renewing hearts across the world.

Tri, 60yo, “Heartline Radio” listener in Tangerang :

“Since “Heartline Radio”  began broadcasting, my family and I have found hope and joy in their programs. We rarely tune in to any other station because the worship songs and the sermons shared through “Heartline Radio” have been a powerful source of encouragement in our lives, deepening our faith and drawing us closer to God. The sermons help me understand God’s Word more fully, and recently, as I’ve been facing ongoing health challenges, the songs of worship and words from God’s servants have been my refuge.

During a moment of need, I reached out to “Heartline Radio” to share my story. Pastor Robin prayed with me, asking God to heal my chest pains and sore joints. During his prayer, I felt the Spirit’s presence so strongly, I was moved to tears, and my arm even lifted as if in praise. Before I left, “Heartline Radio” gifted me with a Galcom Radio, a Renungan Hari Ini 2024 book, and a package of food essentials. My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the ways that “Heartline Radio” has blessed me and my family. They are always showing us Christ’s hope, love, and faithfulness in action. ”

Miseal, 51yo, “Heartline Radio” listener in Tangerang:

“I have been a loyal listener of “Heartline Radio” since 2001, and it has truly been a lifeline for my spirit.  Through the “Heartline Radio” broadcasts, I’ve found comfort in the worship songs that uplifts my soul and strengthens my faith. The sermons – especially those shared by Charles Stanley, Pastor Gilbert, Sampah Menjadi Berkat, English sermons, and Voice of America – continue to fill me with God’s Word and encouragement. “Heartline Radio” has been an essential part of my life, as it is a place where I can enjoy songs of worship, receive spiritual guidance, listen to classical music, and stay connected with world news.

“Heartline Radio” has touched the lives of others in my family as well.  My mother also started to tune in regularly to “Heartline Radio”. Although she was a Muslim, her heart began to open to the Gospel in 2019. One morning, I saw her listening intently to a sermon. At the end, the pastor invited listeners to raise their hands if they desired prayer, and my mother lifted her hand to the Lord. Soon after. She began attending church with me, and in time, she made the decision to be baptised. My mother passed away in 2021, but I find peace and joy in knowing that she is now with our Lord in heaven. Praise be to God for his faithfulness and mercy!”

Stephanie, 33yo, “Heartline Radio” listener in Samarinda :

“When I was in middle school, my uncle would often tune in to “Heartline Radio”. Every morning, he’d put the station on the radio, and that was where I first encountered Christian songs. I didn’t fully understand them at the time, but I felt a stirring in my heart and began to appreciate the beauty of worship music. Over time, I grew in faith and started listening to “Heartline Radio” in my own time.

“Today, I am 33 years old, with a husband and a child. During our evening car rides to work, I play “Heartline Radio”, and my child knows the theme song for Masih Ada Jalan by heart! This station has been a source of hope and joy for our family. After a long day, the uplifting messages, prayers, and songs renew our spirits and remind us of God’s faithfulness in every season.”

Mona, “Heartline Radio” listener from Pondok Kacang Timur :

“As a widow raising my 12-year-old daughter, “Heartline Radio” has been a lifeline for our family, especially during the challenging years of the COVID pandemic. Each morning before I leave for work and every evening before bed, I tune into “Heartline Radio”. Listening to the comfort of God’s Word and singing along with the worship songs never fails to lift my spirit and draw me closer to God.

One program that has deeply touched my heart is Wajah-Wajah Iman. I used to struggle with anger and held grudges against those who I felt had wronged me. But since listening to “Heartline Radio”,  I feel God speaking directly to me, teaching me the power of forgiveness and encouraging me to pray for those who hurt me. His peace fills my heart, and I am so thankful for how He has used “Heartline Radio” to transform my life.

As we reflect on these incredible testimonies, we are filled with gratitude and hope for all the powerful ways that God is transforming lives through the ministry of FEBC. Each of the stories shared by listeners around the world are a testament to God’s timing and grace – meeting people in moments of joy, struggle, or searching.
