Worldwide Ministries – Thailand

Thailand

OUR FOCUS

Thailand is Buddhist, and radio is widely listened to throughout the country. There are not many believers and churches in Thailand – Christians regularly turn to Gospel radio for support in their journey of faith, and inquiring listeners tune in to search for the Truth. Gospel programs are produced by FEBC International’s staff in Bangkok, and aired over 30 local radio stations throughout this Buddhist nation. The effective Bible Correspondence Course reaches many – including prison inmates, many of whom become Christians as a result.

FEBC International in Thailand is responsible for and also deeply involved in shortwave radio ministries for 17 transnational ethnic languages heard in five Southeast Asian countries. These programs - produced by local FEBC International’s staff and partners in studios in various locations - are aired from the ministry’s shortwave stations in the Philippines.

In recent years, other new media are also used. Radio has always been an integral part of church planting ministries, as well as encouragement and growth for scattered believers. Listeners, often illiterate, are without their written Scriptures in their own language, and many are persecuted for their faith. Your support will help sustain FEBC International’s strategic ministry work in Thailand.
