MINISTRIES

FEBCanada's Joseph and Evert doing an impromptu live radio talk while visiting FEBC Indonesia's FM station in Lampung.

FEBC International broadcasts in over 145 languages, in 50 countries, totalling 1,500+ hours of programming a day/365 days a year. However, the numbers only tell part of the story - more importantly, are the many lives impacted by the ministry's global radio network that shares the Good News of Jesus Christ - with a potential listening audience of 4 billion people. Last year alone, the ministry documented over 150 million listener engagements and responses.

FEATURED COUNTRY:
THAILAND

Thailand is Buddhist, and radio is widely listened to throughout the country. There are not many believers and churches in Thailand, – Christians regularly turn to Gospel radio for support in their journey of faith, and inquiring listeners tune in to search for the Truth. Gospel programs are produced by FEBC International’s staff in Bangkok, and aired over 30 local radio stations throughout this Buddhist nation. An effective Bible Correspondence Course reaches many – including prison inmates, many of whom become Christians as a result.

ETHNIC MINISTRIES

From the beginning, FEBC International has committed to appointing nationals as directors. Add broadcasters of the same ethnic group to produce programs that are culturally relevant to the region. These indigenous staffs speak fluent local dialects, and are familiar with the local culture, so they can more effectively share the Christian message.

FEBC International has been producing programs in a number of ethnic-minority languages for listeners in Southeast Asia. Some of these programs are now available online.

HUMANITARIAN WORK

Beginning in 2004, FEBC International is committed to and expanding its rescue capabilities in the event of major disasters in its own country. By developing a portable spare radio, we can listen to the latest news anytime, anywhere within 72 hours after the accident.

Today, this ministry has come in handy during natural disasters in India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. We provide life-saving messages and send hand- or battery-powered radios to people who have lost their homes.

In some broadcast areas, FEBC staff can better assist local medical staff to help those in need. It's like: distributing food and clothing to help communities in need.
